Freshers are better than laterals

freshers and experiencedEmployment becomes a dire need after completing education. Nobody wants to sit home and pull grasses. A fresher on applying a job is first questioned about her experience, again leaving a fresher, jobless. If a company talks about skilled employees, then the main problem begins here, each company has different technology upon which it works, and study cannot be done targeting a single company, because if that company doesn’t provides her job, again she is nowhere.

So, the only requirement with a fresher is should be her thorough knowledge in subjects, basic idea about the working area at organization related to their fields, ability of quick learning and delivering of progressive results.

Freshers are better than laterals in many waysfreshers vs laterals

1. A fresher has to be less paid than a lateral, because of experience issues.

2. A fresher easily gets adjusted to the company’s work environment and its requirements, as she enters with a fresh mind as compared to lateral whose mind is till now full, with details of past organization.

3. A fresher can learn without difficulty about the technologies and tools being used by the company, as she doesn’t needs to switch her mind from past employment to present as in the case of laterals.

4. A fresher is more work oriented as she is mainly focused about doing work and learning it, so a fresher can even donate extra time for a work, whereas a lateral would just try to only stick with office hours, as a general case.

5. A fresher has no point of comparison about the company details as in the case of a lateral, who will always try to compare the present organization with the past at every point, thereby distracting by work.

6. A fresher is more obedient in comparison to a lateral, as a job for a fresher is more important than laterals, as a lateral can acquire a job anywhere else with her experience.

I am not denying the importance of the presence of laterals in an organization, but at the same time listing the benefits of hiring a fresher than a lateral.
