Recruiters screen out more people then they screen in. Proper Resume plays a vital role in getting the opportunity; make sure the resume is concise, readable & to the point. Don’t loose an opportunity just because of an improper resume. No one reads your resume, the resumes are first scanned and if it interests the recruiter then they are selected for other rounds.

You are judged by what you have accomplished and not by what you are. Therefore, Resumes must be the replica what you have done. Your Resume is being assessed on the basis of how you have applied your education and experience in the past.

Recruiters quickly start to scan your resume by whether you are qualified for the job or not. Qualification for the job is all dependent on the Job titles, education level & your previous experience. For example, if the recruiters are looking for an Employee with 4 years of testing experience, then the First thing they will be scanning in the resume is your work experience of at least 4 years of work experience as Tester. Few people don’t highlight the Job requirements for the job they are applying for their resume.

Nowadays Recruiters get more than 1000 resumes in a day from online Job portals & Internal (Employee) references and every resumes get scanned in not more than 20-25 seconds. You must not miss an opportunity just because your resume doesn’t attract the recruiter or just because you didn’t highlight the Job Experience or Job requirement.

The Recruiters shows a lot of interest in the resume if it has the below attributes –

  • college recruiting requirements Qualification for the job, Amount of Work Experience
  • Complete Education, Certification details
  • Complete Technical details (technology on which you are experienced along with your roles)
  • Dates (How long you were there in one role & how many companies you have switched)
  • Current Location (In case of Relocation)
  • No Spelling mistakes & Grammar Mistake

If you have any problem / doubts preparing your resume, you can seek help from your Friends, Colleagues & Senior colleagues. You can choose a person from your own field to check whether you have mentioned correctly all your past experiences with correct roles & technical terms. You can also choose one more person from other technology/field; just ask them to go through your resume & whether they are able to understand your resume & concept of it. It will help you in making a better resume.
