How to apply for training in TCS

Training from reputed company/organization/Institute adds lot of value to your resume. Here we will not use training word because most of the corporate houses use “internship” slag instead of training. So next time if you approach any particular organization, ask whether they provide any kind of internship to students. For students outside india, TCS provides open registration for internship of up to 6 months named under Global Internship Programme, so if you are student from country other than india, you can directly apply through Global Internship Portal.

But while browsing i have noticed that, TCS does not have any open submission option for internship programme,where student can directly apply for internship. So what conclusion can be made out of this? I think TCS had removed the submission link, because of large number of Internship applications received from indian students every year. With huge list of engineering colleges in india, it is very difficult to acknowledge and maintain applications and this might be the only reason TCS is not talking about any kind of training or internship programme for indian students on their academic portal.

So is it possible to do training/ Internship programme?

Yes, you have to contact your T&P officer for this and your T&P officer will contact TCS Academic Team, This is the procedure set by TCS for individual student seeking internship in TCS.

Registration is free, and as soon as you register there, you can start using portal services. A confirmation email will be received shortly in your inbox containing user id password and other details.

While not forget that reference and referral works almost in any organization, so in case if you know anyone who is on high position in TCS, your chances of getting in becomes easy.

By doing internship in TCS, one should not consider it as an offer for career, or an career agreement with TCS. The internship does not make any loan for career or an employee-employer connection thereof, during or after the internship.
