Split AC v/s Window AC which is better in terms of power consumption & price

Gross, I know, but that’s what the summers are all about these days, all thanks to global warming, temperature change etc and yes we are the ones to blame for all this. There’s a lot that can be said, but I’ll just stop ranting and get on with the fact that there is technology to save us from the predicament that we have put ourselves into. You can go in for a Window AC or a Split AC for your house, office etc. Let’s just know Split AC v/s Window AC, which is better in terms of power consumption and price.
Ease in installation
When it comes to installation, there is no doubt that installing a window AC is much easier than a split as and the process is less time consuming as well.
Which of the two will damage your pocket more?
We need to consider all the variable same so that we can draw a sensible conclusion for this. Let us consider that both the ACs that we are testing are one ton ACs. In this case, the split AC is going to cost you more than the Window AC and you will also need to pay more for the installation as there is an installation that will need to be made inside the room and the other outside and both of them will need to be connected to each other with the help of copper tubes. This is no all, as you will also need to pay for the stand on which the outdoor unit of the Split AC will need to be placed.
In case of a Window AC, all that you need is a place when you can fit in the Window AC and that is pretty easy as you can use any window or make a small space in the wall and then fit in the AC, this will not take time and the fitting process is also very fast.

Power Consumption: Which of the two is an electricity hogging beast?
ACs are known to use a lot of electricity and that is mainly because of the compressor that is present inside them. So, when you keep all the variables constant and take the same one ton ACs of the Split AC group and the Window AC group, they both will have the same compressor present and thus, the electricity consumption of both the ACs is almost the same.
